Special Presentations

If you have a passion that you love to share, perhaps one of the children's programs, Teen HOPE, or the Women's program would benefit from a presentation.  Share your ideas with us!

During the Summer:

Tutors/mentors for children entering Grades 3-6 attending the three two-week Summer sessions.

Work with kids one-on-one to help them with summer reading and academic enrichment.  Help a child get prepared for a successful new school year with your support. Basic knowledge of elementary school Math and English is needed.

Tutors are scheduled from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you wish, you are invited to stay for a delicious and nutritious lunch each day at 12:30 p.m. The Academic Director provides the necessary materials and supervision of tutors and students. If you are unable to commit time to tutoring for a two week session, one week would also be helpful.

Special Events

You are also welcome to share a special activity for a day once a week, or weekly throughout the three two-week sessions offered. We would like to learn about your idea. Volunteers have brought animals, musical demonstrations, yoga, science projects, and many fun arts and crafts projects to share. Share your talents, run an arts and crafts group, or do a special presentation.
